Q: this series of design inspiration and the spirit of communication?

The inspiration for A: is still my last inspiration.

Last time, it was mainly a boy and a girl who met each other. This time it was about how they fell in love.

For women, I echoed her and her shadow.

That man is my interpretation of women in love.

What kind of state does Q: want to express in love?

A: because I think girls always miss someone when they are in love. I want to use shadow to express the feeling that a girl's clothes are surrounded by a boy's clothes.

That's why I have two or three pieces of clothing on my clothes.

Q: just caters to the neutral style in recent years?

A: actually, I didn't have to be neutral. I always wanted to go my own way.

I still tend to think about how to wear sexy clothes, how to try them on and how to keep warm.

I will not deliberately approach a particular style.

If I am neutral, I do not agree.

Q: as a young designer, how are you working in Singapore?

A: I'm still an intern here.

I have worked in Singapore for a whole year.

I learned a lot about the market this year.

This year is a very important point in my design career.

Q: as a designer, will the implementation of market demand and design concept go against each other?

A: when I used to be a designer, I would think there was, but then I gradually discovered that a mature designer must have a market vision.

Market and design must be combined.

Recently, I have talked with friends around me.

Many Chinese and foreign designers have a dream at first, that is, I want to design beautiful clothes.

But when you design it, you need to consider who wears it and where it goes.

This is what we need to consider.

Through this year's work, directly or indirectly contacts with some famous brand designers in Singapore, I find that as a successful designer, you need to have very commercial design thinking to consider your whole design series.

Q: do you want to create an independent brand yourself or join the design of the first-line brand?

A: I am a very greedy person.

Over the years, I have been paying attention to working for famous brands.

Because I can use their platform to see more international things.

As for the creation of one's own

brand

First, I am too young now. It is not yet the time. Second funds are not enough. Third, I need to know more about the market.

Q: do you have any international designers you like?

A: at different stages I like different things.

For example, in a creative stage, which designer can I see?

I have always loved Yamamoto Teruji (Yohji Yamamoto).

Some of its technical things make me feel very interesting.

Q: in your design, you can see that there is an oriental spirit in it.

A: I would like to say more about East things.

Many Chinese designers want to deliberately emphasize Chinese culture.

Oriental elements

This is how I interpret Chinese culture.

Because I am a Chinese, the environment of my educational contact has determined the way I design.

So I don't think it's necessary to deliberately do something.

The most important thing is that someone else buys something you design and designs it yourself.

If you are not enough to be a Chinese, there is not enough China to represent you.

I think I am still a very "Chinese" Chinese, so what I do also has a certain Chinese complex.

For example, I have a sense of loose lines in Chinese ink and wash and simple decorations when farmers work.

I myself may have consciously and unconsciously done this.

Q: but no obvious signs of China?

A: yes, like peony.

I may use the elements of Chinese paper cutting in my design, but I am still looking for opportunities.

(laughter)
