Kuwait aromatics company (Karo) announced in October 8th that the company is working on a new investment plan for the production of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and polyethylene terephthalate two (PET) for downstream projects in the xylene plant in Kuwait, Shuaiba.


The downstream project of Kuwait aromatics company will use the products of Kuwait Paraxylene Production Company (KPPC) as raw materials.

The KPPC aromatics unit was built last year, with an investment of about 2 billion US dollars, and designed and produced 829 thousand tons / year of para xylene and 393 thousand tons / year pure benzene.
